Personal Financial Management
94 A4 pages: Self-Coaching Workbook
I have put together a self-coaching course, with the same type of material that a two-day workshop or 8 session coaching programme on "Managing your personal finances" would contain. You do not need any special knowledge to do this course. The information is straight forward and easy to understand, and suitable for anyone who has completed grade 12 schooling
This self-coaching programme is designed to help you get control of your finances and build good money management habits.
“The material is easy to read and understand. I loved the course and learned so much.” Kelly IT Manager
During the course you will learn to:
· Understand your spending; manage your expenses
· Learn how to cut down on your spending
· Understand your sources of income
· Learn how to increase your income, with many examples provided
· Follow a project plan outline of how to increase your income
· Review your debt
· Learn how to pay back your debt; learn ways to pay back debt faster
· Understand your negative money beliefs and habits; learn new and better money beliefs and habits
· Learn about savings and investments
· Understand how to choose investments, investments to avoid, pitfalls of investing
· Understand how to recognise financial and investment fraud so you don’t get scammed
· Take actions monthly and yearly to increase your financial knowledge
· Set financial goals for your financial needs
· Learn how to set and work a plan to meet your personal financial goals
The workbook is very practical, and you will be working with your actual debt, expenses, and income extensively, as well as looking at savings and investments and other financial aspects. There is also a great deal of focus on understanding your current thinking about each aspect of your finances and the current habits you have. Many exercises deal with learning new habits that will put you on the path to financial success, which we do at the end of each section: i.e. debt, expenditure, reducing expenditure, income, increasing your income, repaying debt quicker, savings, investments etc.
This is a coaching book – so you have to work with your actual life situation and your actual finances in doing the exercises and building new habits. You will not get the maximum benefit if you just read it. You need to do the exercises. You want to work with your personal circumstances and money habits so you can change them.
